The only thing with this Cards is some issue with INT13 – but i did not try this yet. I really hope this card works as it was reported working through the forums. Many controllers will announce adaptec 1430sa in the syslog, and possibly reserve ‘slots’ too. Wasn’t adaptec 1430sa if you still had an active SA or not, but I knew you’d just upgraded to v6, so if you had the board you’d have certainly known the answer. I was just curious. Question about Adaptec SA controller detection – General Support – Lime Technology
I’ll be adding a drive to it sooner or later. Is there a way via adaptec 1430sa line or GUI to see if just the controller has been detected and working without drives attached?

Posted June 12, I’ve been running this card with 6 for a long adaptec 1430sa. I have adaptec 1430sa fingers crossed anyway. Thank you very much sir. You should also be able to see it with the lspci command.
As 1403sa addon card, it would show up with a non-zero leading byte, and the only one like that is the Realtek NIC. I’ll be getting a monitor over here in the adaptec 1430sa few days and I’ll report back.
